Mariner’s service assurance platform, xVu Foundation, is a consolidation of IP video technology innovation and learned QoE best practices. The foundation of the platform is comprised of a number of technology and process innovations:

• ‘C’ore Modules: at the core of xVu are four fundamental and integrated modules: Consolidate, Correlate, Communicate and Correct.
• CustomerVu: incorporates QoE best practices to identify and collect those cross-ecosystem service performance indicators required by the xVu platform. 
• QoE Best Practices: each customer implementation results in a modified configuration of Mariner’s best practices.
• Integration Tools:
• patent-pending tools to simplify and accelerate the integration with residential gateways, element management systems, probes and OSS/BSS systems.
• Monitoring Agent: a non-intrusive software program that resides on the set-top box, allowing xVu to monitor the service end-to-end and to measure functional performance at the viewing point (e.g. viewer statistics, DVR functionality, PPV performance, etc.).
